ROBERT PLANT

ROBERT PLANT

One of the greatest singers of all time, Robert Plant, needs no introduction. But just in case you have been fast asleep for several years, we’ll go back to the beginning of the English musicians’ career. Robert Plant is best known for being the lead singer of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. In 1968, Jimmy Page (guitarist), John Paul Jones (bassist and keyboardist), John Bonham (drummer), and Robert Plant formed in London to create what would later become one of the most influential and successful rock groups in history. Plant is also known for his other musical endeavors such as Band of Joy, The Honeydrippers, Page and Plant, Priory of Brion, Strange Sensation, and for his most recent project, The Sensational Space Shifters. Robert was the first singer of his kind, having an outstanding vocal range and ground breaking singing style that the heavy metal genre had never experienced before. Even though Led Zeppelin created a tremendous amount of controversy between displeased music critics and adoring fans, the band still gained an overwhelming amount of attention and they were able to have an overall efficacious career. The rock stars became one the best-selling music artists in the history of audio recording according to Billboard magazine, selling roughly between 200 and 300 million records worldwide.
