You Me At Six
by Elise Yablon

You Me At Six have been gaining popularity within their native UK for years. With three gold-certified albums in their home country, it is no surprise that their latest album, Cavalier Youth, reached number one in the UK charts during it's release week. The band has been gracing the pages of rock mags, such as Kerrang! and Alternative Press, for years and have even headlined a sold-out show at Wembley Arena. Now the band is bringing their success with them to the United States.

In fact, the band has already been making an impressive impact on US audiences. Cavalier Youth made it's debut at number one on the Billboard Heatseekers chart after it's release in January 2014. They have also been playing headlining shows throughout the US over the last year and a half

Made up of Josh Franceschi (vocals), Max Helyer (guitar), Chris Miller (guitar), Matt Barnes (bass), and Dan Flint (drums), You Me At Six have been making music together since 2004. In their time together, they have released four studio albums; 2008's Take Off Your Colours, 2010's Hold Me Down, 2011's Sinners Never Sleep, and 2014's Cavalier Youth, and almost two dozen music videos.

You Me At Six's pop-punk spunk and power put the band on a whole different level. "Lived A Lie" and "Forgive and Forget" have sky high choruses that are impossible to forget. "Fresh Start Fever" maintains a steady, aggressive pace, like leading a cavalry into a revolution. Final track "Wild Ones" exchanges the high-flying energy for contemplative lyrics and restraint, a different kind of powerful. The amount of control and power the band shows on Cavalier Youth keeps the album captivating from beginning to end.

The band will be hitting the US yet again this fall for a headlining tour. Supported by Young Guns, the tour will run from mid-September until early November.

In the end, You Me At Six will have no trouble translating their UK success into US success. The band's music speaks for itself with it's sheer power and thoughtful lyricism. With the all around positive response to their latest album, the world should be keeping an eye out for You Me At Six.
