When a band decides to step out of their comfort zone musically, usually it takes time for fans to adjust but overall they tend to embrace the change. When a group puts out the same record over and over, it can be tiresome for fans and it can cause listeners to lose interest due to a lack of creativity. If you wanted to listen to the same sound over again, you would play their old records, right? Luckily, when listening to the band Mother Mother, one can never become exhausted from the group who is constantly evolving and trying new things. Every record that they put out sounds different then the next, which is why listeners are so intrigued to follow the journey of the multitalented band.

Mother Mother is a Canadian rock band that currently resides in Vancouver, BC but was originally from Quadra Island. They can arguably fall into various genres but the more prominent roots of Mother Mother are indie and alternative rock. They are also known for their efforts in folk, punk and pop rock music, with even a touch of a hip hop influence. Mother Mother is a five piece group that consists of Ryan Guldemond (Lead Vocals & Guitar), his sister Molly Guldemond (Vocals & Keyboard), Jasmin Parkin (Vocals & Keyboard), Jeremy Page (Bass Guitar) and Ali Siadat (Drums). The band put out an independent release in 2005 under the name 'Mother' but two years later they changed their name and added the extra Mother, forming Mother Mother.
