BIRDS OF TOKYO

BIRDS OF TOKYO

This Perth based four piece rock act are already highly successful in their native Australia, having just about done it all in their homeland. They have had records hit number one, sold out shows across the country, won ARIA Awards (the Aussie equivalent of a Grammy), performed on the steps of the Sydney Opera House at the ARIA Awards, headlined at shows for the Australian Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne, performed at massive venues Australia wide with a piano and string quartet, and plenty more.

Whilst they have flirted with cracking the USA, playing several showcase type shows across the States and garnering some solid radio support, they haven’t actually done a full headlining tour of their own. Until now. They kick off an extensive tour of the US and Canada in early October, and drummer Adam Weston, who has himself actually re-located to LA, simply cannot wait.

“Everyone is just going a bit stir crazy!” He exclaims, “we haven’t been playing enough shows, the last couple of months we’ve just kind of been writing and demoing here in LA. So to get out, and not just get on the road in the States, but to be able to get back to playing 25 shows in five weeks, or whatever it is, is going to be very cleansing for the soul!”
