"As long as I am moving I'm right on the path I made" - “Heroes,” I Must Be Gone And Live, Or Stay And Die, by The Glass Child
This is the mantra of Swedish singer-songwriter Charlotte Eriksson, better known as The Glass Child. Ever since she finished school at 17, she has made it a point to not stay in one place too long. Moving away from home a week after graduation, the singer went to London, England to begin her music career. About a year ago, she made a similar move from London to Berlin, Germany.
The idea of constant motion has even inspired the name of her latest album, I Must Be Gone and Live, or Stay and Die, out October 21. Taken from a line in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Eriksson tells New Sound Magazine that the quote means “that if you settle and stay where you are, you won't get anywhere. You need to simply just keep moving to keep growing and developing and getting to greener views.”
